About UN jobs-Senior Communications & Information Assistant
The employee answers to G-13, Assistant Operations Officer.
Responsibilities:
In keeping with accepted policies and practices, the incumbent:
- is in charge of ensuring that UNRWA staff in the West Bank are kept informed of staff movements, security events, access restrictions, and threats in conjunction with the Protection and Neutrality staff.
- ensures that incoming and outgoing communications are promptly and correctly registered and incoming and transferred as necessary by supervising and operating the available radio and communication systems and telephone lines;
- Ensures that the Field Office’s standard operating procedures and directives for informing staff members on the ground adhered to quickly and accurately;
- guarantees the accurate upkeep of electronic records of personnel movements and occurrences throughout the Field; updates ACU, who communicates with the local authorities, on the access issues that are occurring;
Required Qualifications Of UN jobs-Senior Communications & Information Assistant
Education:
A university degree in social sciences or any other related field
Experience:
At least two years of experience in functions related to the responsibilities of the post required.
-Professional experience within the fields of monitoring, radio room or dispatch communications, research, analysis, or other related fields required.
languages:
Excellent command of spoken and written English and Arabic.
